I built my reputation transforming anxious test-takers into confident high performers. Now, I’m bringing that methodology to golf.
Advanced diagnostics: In tutoring, I pinpointed the one misconception blocking progress. In our sessions, I’ll isolate the one movement, cue, or decision causing compounding errors.
Deliberate practice design: Short, focused reps with clear goals and feedback—no wasted swings.
Retention over novelty: Spaced schedules, micro-quizzes, and on-course “checkpoint” routines ensure changes stick under pressure.
Systems, not secrets: You leave with repeatable practice frameworks, not just tips. Once you leave the Accelerator, you won’t only know how to golf better - you’ll know how to keep getting better every time that you play.
Great coaching isn’t about telling you more—it’s about helping you remember and reproduce the right few things when it matters most.
my story:
From 2007 to 2018, I became known as “The SAT Tutor to the 1%,” commanding $1,500/hour to help the world’s most competitive students with their test prep. While most tutors and programs in my industry delivered an average score improvement of 20 points, my average students improved by over 400 - with a sample size of nearly 500 students. I didn’t get these results because I know more about triangles or comma usage than anyone alive - I got these results because I’m obsessed with figuring out how each student actually learns, crafting customized curriculum to eliminate their weaknesses and enhance their strengths, and leaving them with permanently-installed skills that they can apply on test day. After saving enough to retire early (and having become incredibly bored with graphing equations), I left the test prep industry - but I never lost my obsession with effective education. And then, like a lot of retirees - I discovered golf.
There is a big difference between being good at something and being able to teach it
As a big believer in one-on-one instruction, I signed up for lessons within a few days of grabbing my first set of clubs. The advice was…interesting. After watching me hit a few shots, the instructor told me to “keep my legs straighter.” Then, a few shanks later, he told me to “give them a bit more bend.” Also - my grip was too strong. But it was also too tight. But maybe I needed to see more knuckles. But then I needed to move my knees more.
You get the idea.
My teacher was very good at golf. But when it came to transferring his abilities to me, he was hopeless. I went to the course after his lesson and couldn’t hit my shots within a 60 degree cone - I was worse than before I met with him!
From there, I went through a horrendous cycle - I loved the game, and I wanted to improve - but I cycled through eleven different teachers (not to mention countless YouTube videos, books, Instagram reels, everything) and nothing was happening to the quality of my game. Sure - I was improving a bit through absolute brute force, and my hand-eye coordination was improving, but nothing else was.
There is infinite golfing information available to everyone on the planet with internet access - but somehow, golf handicaps aren’t going down across the board. Why not?
Because there is an enormous difference between “good information” and a good education.
People didn’t pay me $1,500/hour because I had exclusive access to the circle area formula - they valued me because I was able to teach it to their children permanently, allowing them to utilize it on demand in a variety of circumstances and integrating it into their existing knowledge base. And I was able to do it quickly. As someone who has devoted his career to teaching students effectively, this entire golf situation was becoming borderline maddening.
It wasn't until I was matched with an incredibly talented teacher in New York City that I saw the first actual jump in the quality of my game. She didn’t have any preconceived notions of what I needed to know or do - she watched me swing, explained precisely what was happening to lead to my problems, and gave me one specific, custom-tailored tweak that immediately straightened out my iron shots like clockwork. Voila! But then….
After a great two rounds on the course, I '“lost it.” I felt like I was doing exactly what she showed me, but my shots were veering all over the place. What was happening!? I was doing the shoulder thing she taught me to do!!!
WHEN YOU LEARN A PIECE OF INFORMATION AND DON’T CONNECT IT COHERENTLY TO YOUR EXISTING KNOWLEDGE, IT WON’T STICK, IT WON’T INTEGRATE, AND YOU MIGHT END UP WORSE OFF THAN IF YOU’D NEVER LEARNED IT AT ALL.
I was given a band-aid, but I was acting like I’d just had knee replacement surgery. Sure, “lean your left shoulder forward and push more off your back foot” was helpful - but I didn’t know why it was helpful, or what it was actually doing to my swing. After I adjusted to the movement, my body and brain just started doing other things to switch back into my old faulty concepts of how to blast a ball down the course, and I was helpless to readjust or understand.
green golf accelerator is my solution to the problem that has been driving me insane for years - and that i know, for a fact, keeps the vast majority of golfers playing vastly below their potential level.
There’s no use in reinventing the wheel. I spent over a decade developing one of the most effective one-on-one education systems on the planet. Now, I get to use that same system for something 500X more fun than equations and reading comprehension - I get to apply it to golf.
I don’t hit the longest drives in the word, and I can’t putt as well as Tiger Woods - but I can teach you how to play golf at a much, much higher level far more quickly than you think is possible.
I love golf, I love to teach, and I’m excited for the opportunity to teach you golf in a way that finally sticks. By partnering with hand-picked golf instructors and world-class golf training facilities, I’m creating a compressed, comprehensive, and ridiculously fun program that’ll turn you into an entirely new golfer.
